Capiz Shell from the windowpane oyster (Placuna placenta) is a bivalve marine mollusk in the family of Placunidae. They are found in muddy or sandy shores, in bays, coves and lagoons all around the islands of the Philippines.  They are edible, but valued more for the shells (and the rather small pearls). It is farm raised in the Philippines for food and its decorative shell. This small craft shop in the Philippines employs talented Filipino artists to create and produce these beautiful keepsake boxes.  Each piece is individually airbushed using either a stencil, or free hand, for each color applied.

The Seahorse is mainly found in shallow tropical and temperate waters throughout the world, and lives in sheltered areas such as seagrass beds, estuaries, coral reefs, or mangroves. There are 54 species worldwide of marine fishes called the Seahorse belonging to the genus Hippocampus, of which 14 species are known to live in Southeast Asian waters, and 10 species are known to inhabit Philippine waters.

The combining of the indigenous Philippines Capiz shell and local inhabitants of marine Seahorses creates a very special and unique "Crystal" memento. This keepsake box has been curated especially for the Exclusively Crystal Collection.
